Having successfully worked with you ten years ago on a house plan and site location in France, I was more than keen to come back to you on my latest building project.
As the blueprint of the new plan evolved, I was able to discuss with you at length over the phone different aspects of the floor plan that concerned me such as house orientation, auspicious directions, where to place the different rooms, key features, ease of living arrangements etc., You took great care to go into detail and answer all my queries. I felt that you were totally involved with my project as well as being tuned into my personal needs in the most positive way. I contacted Sylvia because I wanted to convert the fairly characterless one acre grass 'field' attached to my 400 year old cottage into a traditional Devon country garden. I had used feng shui principles to design the interior of a very successful complementary therapy salon I ran some years ago and I wanted to bring a similar kind of energy and harmony into our garden design.
Sylvia initially carried out a thorough and extensive site visit and consultation. From this she produced an excellent outline plan for the structure of the garden as well as some really helpful suggestions for plants and planting schemes. In the year since her visit we have begun to bring the design to life and I am excited and truly satisfied by the results so far. I believe that they show Sylvia to be a skillful feng shui practitioner, as well as a kind and generous personality. My husband and I were really impressed with our consultation. Although we had some idea about Feng Shui beforehand, Sylvia gave me peace of mind and certain adjustments she recommended created an immediate beneficial shift.
It was a good job I followed her recommendations, as first of all I had to clear a lot of clutter out of my son’s bedroom and I discovered that carpet moth pupae had begun to eat the carpet under a basket full of old clothes and rubbish. If she had not urged me to begin our feng shui process that way, they might have spread right through the house.
What impresses us most of all is Sylvia’s extensive knowledge and her caring, ongoing help, which she offered so generously when asked for it, even long after the consultation. Sylvia has made such a positive impression that I have asked her for Feng Shui tuition as I would like to learn more about it.
